Spring Fire Is Foxfire
봄 불은 여우 불이라
Nami had been sold for money. She possessed absolutely nothing, except for a rather indecent fortune that supposedly destined her to ensnare a man and never let him go. And so, she was welcomed as a precious bride, someone capable of keeping a firm hold on the damn family's only heir in three generations—a man who, despite being well past the age to settle down, seemed far more interested in spilling blood than sowing his seed. They expected Nami to bear him a strong, healthy son. However, Hyuk, the man who had become her husband, agreed to marry only because his parents pleaded with him, promising that once the wedding was over, he could return to the battlefield and do as he pleased, even if it meant dying there. And so, immediately after the ceremony, he fled into the night and returned to war without even consummating their marriage. Unable to fulfill the purpose for which she had been brought into the household, Nami soon became an unwanted burden. Even so, she wholeheartedly accepted the man she had seen only once, on their wedding day, as her husband. She quietly cherished and respected him, secretly blushing as she nurtured the innocent feelings of her first love. But when that man finally returned three years later, he didn't even remember her… "Oh, aren't you that broodmare?" Nami had always endured hardship and mistreatment with a smile, believing it was simply her fate. Even when the servants insulted her and called her a "damn bitch," her expression remained calm, never once showing the slightest sign of defeat. But that day, for the very first time, her unwavering composure shattered.
